For all the saints, who from their labors rest
This warm, rich arrangement with key changes makes it a breeze to sing the eight stanzas of this beautiful hymn using Ralph Vaughan WIlliams’ rousing melody, Sine nomine. At the suggested tempo, all eight stanzas (The Hymnal 1982, #287) can be completed including introduction and very short coda in less than 7 minutes.
Sine nomine in this setting provides a wonderful way to open the worship for the Feast of All Saints in the Episcopal Church and others. It is also a grand way to open a state or other funeral where a celebratory but solemn procession is desired.
Included are the score in both portrait and landscape format, a hymn insert in both PDF and jpeg format, a choir format and the brass parts. Note that the scores are in concert pitch for the brass but parts are pitched appropriately.
