Trumpet Voluntary in D
Trumpet Voluntary in D
for Organ
by Kent Arthur Savage
Sometimes a warm, rich Cornopean stop against foundation stops fills the gap when trying to find a suitable prelude or organ offertory. This trumpet voluntary has an catchy melody on the Cornopean or Trumpet stop (could also use the Oboe or Dulzian stops) against the 8’ Open and Stopt Diapasons coupled to the pedal with a full 16’ flue stop.
Trumpet Voluntary in D is easy to play, even to sight read. It could be appropriate in a lot of different liturgical settings.
